Element Skelmersdale is an accredited EMC and radio test laboratory at Pendle Place, West Pimbo, Skelmersdale, operated by Element Materials Technology. The site tests to the EMC Directive and the UK Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations, with radiated emissions and susceptibility, surge, electrical fast transient, burst, ring wave and ESD up to 15 kV, in two 3 m semi-anechoic chambers. Radio and wireless testing covers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, SRD, RFID and UWB devices for FCC, ISED, MIC and Radio Equipment Directive approvals. The laboratory holds UKAS and A2LA ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and also tests for explosive atmospheres, ingress protection and climatic conditions.
