Roxburgh EMC has manufactured EMC filter products for more than 50 years, and today trades as a division of Alpha 3 Manufacturing Limited following an August 2025 rebrand. The company designs and produces mains, IEC inlet and chassis-mount EMC/RFI filters, including low-earth-leakage variants for medical equipment, from its 40,000 sq ft facility in Scunthorpe. Alongside its filter range, Roxburgh offers a pre-compliance EMC testing service and EMC consultancy support to its industrial and healthcare customers.
Cherry Clough Consultants provides independent EMC and EMI design, problem-solving and training for manufacturers and system integrators, working from DC up to 24GHz against standards ranging from CE (EMC Directive) to DEF STAN 59-411. The company focuses on design-stage risk reduction, including guidelines on functional safety risks caused by electromagnetic interference that have since been adopted by the IET, IEEE and IEC. Its 35+ year client history spans a wide range of sectors (automotive, telecoms, industrial, medical, marine, railway, lighting, gaming and security equipment, plus military and nuclear installations), including named projects like the Diamond Light Source synchrotron and the ITER fusion reactor.
Secure Systems & Technologies was the first company accredited under the CESG Formal TEMPEST Certification Scheme (CFTCS), and operates a purpose-built facility combining TEMPEST design, manufacturing and test-and-certification work under one roof, from a 22,000 sq ft site in Gloucester near NCSC Cheltenham. Now part of Spectrum Control's SSIA business unit (alongside Canadian sister brand Emcon), the company designs, tests and certifies TEMPEST, EMC-rated, rugged and secure communications equipment to the SDIP-27 standard via NCSC's CFTCS scheme, for defence, government and NATO customers, with supplier relationships spanning Airbus, Cisco, Dell, HP, L3Harris and others.
